This Williams Sound PLA 90 induction loop system is compact and easy to install to use in spots where customers with a wide range of hearing abilities need to hear what is being said: bank teller windows, retail counters, information desks and more. The Williams Sound PLA 90 Counter Induction Loop's built-in microphone, or an optional external microphone in the loop system, picks up voices and transmits the spoken word clearly to a listener's hearing aid equipped with a telecoil (t-coil).

I know people who are using the Williams AV PLA90 portable hearing loop.
They use a microphone, Sound Technology CM 1000. It is not a mic you point
at someone, but rather set it down on the table. It is very successful. I do not
want the loop system without the mic., but I have tried the Centrum Sound
conference mic from Harris, and I was not satisfied. Could you give me your
opinion on mics before I purchase the portable loop. I have a Cochlear Implant, fyi.

If you were not a fan of the Centrum microphones, then my other suggestion would be the Listen Technologies LA-277 conference mic that we carry. I have used it with some of our FM systems and found it preformed quite well, but as I'm sure you know everyone's hearing loss is so unique it can be difficult to find just the right combination of equipment. However, if you were to give it a try and decide it wasn't for you, we offer free returns for the first 30days and would be more than happy to continue working with you to see if we could find a more ideal product for your needs even if its not a product we carry.
